Bhavesh Panda and Ankit Panda bowled Public School, Sundargarh to a six-wicket win over Ispat English Medium School, Rourkela in the final to win the State Inter-School Cricket Tournament at Sunshine ground, Cuttack today. Bhavesh bagged four wickets for 23 runs, while Ankit claimed three for 30. Cambridge School principal Brother Thomas Thanickal and Orissa Cricket Association secretary Asirbad Behera gave away the trophy at the closing function. Champions Public School received a cash prize of Rs 6,000.
Brief scores: Ispat English Medium School 115/10 in 17.1 overs (Abinash Rout 36, Amit Das 32; Bhavesh Panda 4/23, Ankit Panda 3/30) lost to Sundargarh Public School 120/4 in 18.4 overs (Sanoj Mahananda 25, Ritesh Kanhar 24).
